I had the pleasure of meeting a lovely couple at the weekend who had just bought a 60ft trad and were bringing it down to their winter moorings at brentford. They had a few problems and wanted a invertor fitted which i did for them. They were also having engine problems so i phoned them later in the day only to be told that there dog had jumped of the boat and drowned. I thought this was really sad as their dog was playing with mine and i know if it happend to us we would be devistated.

all i know is that i had noticed this boat quite a few times because i pass the bulls bridge maybe three or 4 times a month. She has been in the same location since late summer and looked like she had been abandoned although she seemed in good condition on the outside. I could not understand why she had not got any patrol notices. So prehaps she had broken down ect.

I would just like to say even though im intrested in this boat i feel very sorry for the owner if this happened to me i would be devistated and that the piccys were taken this weekend

I have been reading this thread for awhile and funny enough i had to make a night trip from bulls bridge to limehouse over the weekend. It was one of the best 8 hours boating i have had for along time. I was very surprised at how many boats were moving around and even met the st pancras criuseing club boat taking kids through the islington tunnel.

I have had this out with bw and they say you have to be a registerd trader and have a bw buisness licence to conduct any buisness from you boat. although if you trade from lets say a van and dont obstruct the towpath you dont have to have any licence. Ever time i critisize bw i seemed to get jumped on but it does seem rather negative were ther eithos is to encourage canal buisness but seem to put obsticals in the way of doing that

repairs please -
In my extensive travels around the network i see unlicensed boats all the time. And one thing that stares out at me how many single old people are on these boats. Prehaps a thought these people cannot afford ther license. Not all license evaders are trying to beat the system some are just skint.

in reponse to much telling off i have removed the cc section from my website and apoligise to anyone who has taken offence -
If you have no mooring they have very little rights. If you want to evict your tenant you have to give him reasonable notice unless you have a contract. Reasonable notice is considered in law as 6 weeks. After this you could tow the boat away and as long as you make his personal possessions available and in no way try to withhold them from him or her you should be OK. PLEASE SEEK PROPER LEGAL ADVISE IF YOU ARE GOING TO TAKE THE LAST OPTION BECAUSE I'M ONLY INTERPRETING WHAT MY SOLICITOR HAS TOLD ME

Im sorry if i have offended people with my views towards mooring and have now removed that section from my web site. But the origanal thread still stands why are lets say friends of bw allowed to stay put for as long as they like -

One thing about this site is there seems to be a big debate about cc my own website only suggests that 5 or six week stays are possiable not endorsed or recomended. the reason i made this post is because it seems so unfair that people in bws pocket seem to have special discompsation. So be easy on me gents it was just a question. -
I use a image 64 which does perform better on its side on the roof its agreat ariel thats good enough for free view anywhere

I have been cc in london for a long time now and recently i have noticed that some boats are left moored for at least two months> Pertically one boat in brentford and one at kensal green. It has been brought to my attention that the boat in brentford is owned by a casual bw worker prehaps anyone knows if bw workers get a special deal as far as mooring. Over the years i have realised that bw is run like a old boys network does anyone have anythoughts on this
