I'm looking to run an Huawei B525 router directly off the boats DC supply. I would like to use a linear voltage regulator to hold its supply at 12VDC
My concern is the difference between Vin & Vout on most regulators can't be less than 2v (Dropout Voltage ). So if the input supply goes below 14V it won't work.
Has anyone used a Low Voltage Dropout (LDO) Linear Regulator to do the job
Just had my NB surveyed. I used Ben Sutcliffe. He really went the extra mile for me. I had issues with the heating system. He got to the bottom of the problem, didn't just brush over it like some others do. He also insisted that we there for the survey.
In my opinion he does a very thorough job.

I have an SCH25 fitted to my NB
I'm a newbie so not to au fait with the installation yet but if you need photos of specific parts of the installation maybe I can help
I'm having my NB Blacked, including the base plate (2 pack). The surveyor suggested I put an anode in the Bow Thruster tube. His advice was don't over anode so just one.
Any comments
I need some advice as I'm a newbie. My NB has two Duck Hatches and a Pigeon Box all three have external covers because, as I discovered they leak without the covers.
On further investigation I found that there is no seal between the frame and the movable section.
Is this the norm?
Should I fit seals (adhesive backed type)
Any recommendation 🤔
Being very new to the NB world. I was really shocked to see how easily things can turn into a tragedy. Is there a great risk associated with being moored in a flood prone area?
I did some online rummaging I came across this Flood Map

Should one be really mindful of the possibility of flooding or is this tragedy an unfortunate but isolated event.
