..not as easy to find as one might hope actually...I've been looking for a while.. 🙂 .. after chatting with a couple of folk selling - it does matter to them who they sell to - they want their boat to go to a good home who will appreciate " it " 🤷🙂

Thanks guys ....there have been some new build working boats built over the years - some to my eye have been very decent boats where others have lacked the shape somehow... Arundel looks really correct to me 🙂😎 I can put a rough figure to steel but the skill is hard to quantify.... 🤷 I'm not having much luck finding an unconverted motor available so just considering options... 🙂👍

Unconverted..? Roughly what would it cost to make a big union welded copy now..? ..for the steel work I mean.. Any ideas..? 🙂

..the big Northwich copy that worked the ballast contract in London... I remember seeing a sale advert for her a few years back - is she still around unconverted..? Wasn't she down the Oxford for a while at least...? Cheers

Yeah I agree.... Too much for a wooden under clothes " conversion " ..timber backcabin and survey done by a fella not heard off so much in working boat worlds.. 🤷 She's worth whatever someone will pay and vendor accept and Id be interested but the asking price is just to high to start the conversation..

How much are unconverted Grand Union motors and buttys going for nowerdays .? I realise condition is hugely relevant to price so there will be potentially big differences but generally speaking ... ? Cheers guys ... 😊
