  1. I decided to install a sliding hatch using roller bearings and looked around the web. To cut this all short I ended up ordering 4 very expensive bearings from the USA and also paying an extra fee to deal with customs etc. When they arrived they were also the wrong size. Ok so I decided to send them back. I sent them not to the seller but the supplier and enclosed the invoice, but did manage to advise the seller I was returning the goods. What I'm trying to say is this all took place whilst I am under the influence of high Morphine intake which I explained in a covering letter to the supplier, all the seller got was a standard click on the "I want to return this item". Every single penny including shipping has been credited back to my bank account. So I am asking is this common with on line shopping sites or should I put this down to good American customer service that being married to a US citizen I know exists. Interested how others have fared shopping on line.
  2. What I like about these type of threads is when folk come back to show the results. Always nice to see how it all went. So frustrating when after countless suggestions and advice everyone is left wondering. Thanks for update.
  3. Makes them easy to lift off with a screwdriver fairly quietly and quickly. Of course perfectly secure until some scrote comes along and removes the panel.
  4. Move to stay within guidelines of crt, why ask for hassle just for the sake of a few moves over winter.
  5. Uk aeriel alignment is good.
  6. Reviving an old thread to give this sort of information is fantastic. It's just the sort of information we should be sharing.
  7. Is it perhaps just sail boats not suitable for as the pitching disturbs detection whilst houses carAvans and motor homes are steady when stopped. Just a thought as not sure of the recognised picture to illustrate a boat.
  8. Just two days ago same problem. Two studs snapped so just drilled through two new bolts, job done. Painted stove with Rustins high temp paint and bolts blend in quite well. Seemed easiest option as tapping new threads with chance of it happening again seemed pointless. As said it will be easier to replace these new bolts and replace others that might snap. New bolts can be seen in right of door.
  9. So your happy now with charging at 14.4 I can't say anything else as my knowledge is limited to personal experience and what I pick up on the forum. I will watch with interest at any response to 14.4 but I do think that's low but not knowing to much I could be wrong.
  10. Mm mm thick know it might be air intake silencer.
  11. I think now it's the exhaust connects to heater and skin fitting. Just one of many bits stored away as all I did was change the main heater unit.
  12. I guess it just depends on the lifestyle you take up when you buy the boat. If you need to live and work then a wide beam seems ideal although some will not get used to the lifestyle.Just swings and roundabouts? I think if I was needing to work and live in a particular area the w/beam would be my choice.
  13. Is this the silencer pipe as it have one from a whole Kit of spares when I replaced a dw5.
  14. Nice long stretches on the southern Grand union so if you keep moving and avoid conflict with crt you should have no problem working and living near to Luton. Some transport is available although I guess you might have car. All I can say is enjoy the life it's really quite easy you don't need to make it a battle with crt
  15. Can we be sure what batteries you have. Are they bog standard lead acid or sealed lead calcium. I have numax lead calcium cxv31 and they charge at 14.8 as bog standard open lead acid. At first I did find charging them as sealed about from memory 14.4 or 14.6 was not giving them enough. Have been on higher charge a long long time now with good results. Can you be having problems because of reduced charging rate you are using. Just a thought.
  16. Nothing like being warm in your own home so if you feel the need light the fire. It doesn't have to be blazing just a gentle simmering in the background. I guess there will someone hanging on till December to claim they still have not succumbed to the fire god.
  17. OK will check that out in a couple of days. Thanks
  18. 15 inch up to 24 is quite a luxury.HD picture is brill. Sound much improved. Has DVD, free view, netflicks, I player and internet all built in. Lots of HDMI, USB, etc sockets. So well worth an upgrade. There are other personal reasons for the upgrade but those mentioned are enough to answer you Mike. ?? Explain
  19. Yes it needs a free view box.I have ended up with two basic free view boxes and the right person might be able to squeeze one from me. Just trying to help someone less fortunate and perhaps stop some of the terrific waste in this world.
  20. 11 years of excellent service now going into the bin.Terrible the throwaway world we live in.
  21. Just bumping this as I don't want it slipping down the pages out of sight. It will end up in the bin over next few days. Not the giveaway of the century but someone might be pleased to have it as a starter.
  22. Having upgraded from the stone age I have this 100% working 15 inch TV. 12volt or mains. 3.1 amp 38w Remote included. Shame to just dump it even though 11 years old it works perfectly. At present located at cow roast with no plan to move owing to serious health issues so you need to arrange collection. As this is not for sale or wanted I assume mod approval is not needed.
