  1. Never had a problem My 'Cruiser stern' sits on its own on the Bridgewater with zero problems. Never bothered with those silly metal panels on strings over the windows either. John
  2. Sorry, forgot to mention, the charger is wired through a B&Q RCD socket. John
  3. I just connected my battery charger to the live side (shore line input) of the switch. In this way the charger only works if the shore line is connected. Doesn't make any difference where the off/mains/inverter/generator switch is and the inverter can't power the charger. No doubt someone will tell me it's immoral or illegal. John
  4. I have been watching this thread with interest and I am amazed at the offers of help between members who don't know each other. Long may it continue. Anyone know any more about Liverpool Boats. I have a vested interest in that my boat needs some warranty work and I can't get anybody to return my calls. (Maybe that's the norm though). John

  7. One would hope so, there are too many unlicensed and probably uninsured vaguely mobile chicanes out there. It's not Jesus it's probably Charlie Crist, Current Florida State attorney general and Republican candidate for Governor.
  8. No problem as long as they are just the on/off types and not dimmers.
  9. Thanks for the information. Does anyone know if AG32 is now CH32. I have looked in the Champion Catalogue (The BMC is not listed) and AG32 does not exist as that part number but CH32 is listed for Sherpa & Leyland Daf. Also I wonder if this is o/k for the 2.5 BMC diesel?
  10. Hello, Can anyone tell me what type (and part number) of glow plugs fit the BMC 2.5 and 1.5 diesel Engines and are they interchangeable? Thanks in advance
  11. Hello, Terminals EC3022 and EC3023, CE Bearings (Spigot) EC3026 and EC3027. No thrust washers though.
  12. Wood Auto still do parts for BS5 & 6 also for SL5 & 6.
  13. The beer is excellent and indeed a prime reason for purchase of the boat. It just takes us 4hrs to get there but no need to drive home.
  14. Hello, It's not actually my boat, it belongs to 3 of us, who are all members of a group of the same number. Regards, John
  15. Hi, pictures of my boat. It's a 43' Liverpool Boats Pacific 1 shell, fitted out by Liverpool (An off the peg boat) First picture is outside Sooty's House at Lymm, on the Bridgewater. I hope this image thingy works.
  16. Hello All, Certainly new to this forum. Bought our first narrowboat in Jan 2007 but had hired previously. Not having found my way around the forum yet, sorry if my question is not in right place or has been answered several times. We plan on looking at the Lancaster Canal soon and will need to cross the Ribble. We have been told that we will need a 'seaworthiness certificate' Can anyone tell me where these are issued from and what extra do we need, to be able to comply. Regards, John & Sandra
