    They were with them , but so disapointed with the service , cancelled their subscription, We have a knight in shining armour big col from off here , who has come to pick my hubby up and driving him out there , between the 2 hopefully they will sort it. We are usually with them , and my hubby sorts their problems , due to us having to get back for sons wedding and his wife being hospitalized for 3 weeks so far , we had to split.

    Tried Cliff thanks his van is off road until Tuesday. We have a knight in shining armour driving out to pick my hubby up and take him there. Thank you big col so much. Hopefully they will sort it.

    Hi a friend of ours has broken down , he is a 69 year old gentleman whose wife has Been taken seriously ill and rushed to Papworth Hospital , he is trying to bring his boat and 2 dogs back to the canals . He is stuck at Lower Barnwell lock , unable to start his boat , it has a beta engine. he will be the first to admit he is pretty clueless , anyone close can take a look , thanks. he a , but was told all their mechanics are on holiday.

    bad move on tow now. Thanks 4 that info wil tel hubby when we find a mooring. just read all that to him, he seems to think its too late now, we need to find another gearbox. Just what we dont need.

    just to update you, mountings ok , we because of weather are going to wait until we are back on canals to take gearbox out. Have a pal riding shotgun, that can tow us if needs be.

    we have the manual , would have done it today , but had guests and the local kids have been accosting boaters at the lock , stealing keys , windlasses etc , so with lots of activity going on we just didnt get it sorted .

    Sorry we are on the Nene at Rushden and Diamonds Football club. Still mobile and have a pal on a boat with us if we need a tow. Hubby can take it out no problem , thats tomorrows agenda . Hopefully he will find the fault , tempted to limp on though to get back to the canals . Hubby is good with spanners , just wanted to get ideas from you guys so he thinks I know what I am talking about lol.Thanks for replies guys.

    yesterday whilst cruising we developed an intermittent rumbling noise, only in forward not in reverse. It is an lh 150 any ideas from you knowledgable folk. There is plenty of oil in it.

    I have been using vodafone dongle since last September, when we finally gave up on O2. Had no problems since. My advice just steer clear of O2.

    Thanks we are in Ferry Meadows , that was the plan , but it was easier for access to hospital to stay on the embankment. Even though its only a 24 hour mooring here , they have kindly agreed Vic can stay as long as he needs. We are heading off as we have a family wedding , we have to get back for. It looks as though they could be a while.

    well we are on the nene at Peterborough embankment, we dont normally stay here, but because 1 of our party is in hospital, had no choice. Woken up Friday night drunken man on the back deck, he didnt want to stay , didnt seem to like our dogs. Last night was fine. Today has been awful , jet skis flying up and down and i mean flying. Now I know why we dont stay here.

    thanks guys queried it because a male lockie at stanground has told a boat here with us that he may not be let out tomorrow as its within 3 inches of going strong stream. Our problem is the lady on boat with us has been rushed to peterborough hospital tonight. did check it , but was concerned about lockies comment .

    said on local tv news, they were dismantling the crane. He was working on site but not employed by marina.
