    Waterworld

There was quite alot on the Mon and Brecon restoration trust, I would love to do something like that. Don't know what you look like Tim but as I see, someone has said that you were in it.
  13. Mine was yesterday when I saw two Starlings bickering over a bird food feeder, face to face, beak to beak, it was hilarious

    Waterworld

Has anybody seen the cheese boat that was shown in Waterworld tonight, the variety of cheeses were endless and sounded really yummy, will have to look out for them
  15. Had a look at a 100ah alternator just now, made for Land Rovers, The local boat mechanic has been fitting them succesfully (I think) on boats, the problem I have is alterations needed to make it fit, ie pully changed and wireing upgrading and possibly a few other things would need changing on my old Perkins. So was wondering if Lucas alternators were still available anywhere, which might be easier to fit. Tested the power coming out of my 55ah at the split charger today and it is reading 0.75 amps going into the battery. Can anyone help please.
  16. Depending on your whereabouts, I'll watch waterworld as its more midlands, london based
  17. I was going to say the same thing but not just in the winter time. It still does not seem fair to me that you would be the only party with security of tenure for this mooring. What would happen if the other person was on YOUR mooring for their 2 month slot and you needed to get back to your mooring for any reason, breakdown or health for example, what would happen then?

  20. A wheelbarrow is very handy but not as easy as a folding trolly to store when on the move.
  21. Hello there, a boat hook will come in handy also mooring pins, ( both types) one type for hammering into ground and the other to attach to piling, lump hammer, gas bottle spanner, stern tube grease, good lenghts of rope, if the boat is around 50 to 60ft is an idea that you get lenghts of rope that you can hold in the middle if you see what I mean, a trolly for carting things like batteries around, fenders, oh and a bottle of Champers for the launch Wendy
  22. On my old boat I had a side door put in with a metal bar that you could put across the middle which made it very secure.
  23. I don't think that would work as the other boat would go down on the weekly check so wouldn't be fair on them if they were paying for half of the fee. What we do here is if anyone is off the mooring we let someone stay on it as a friendly gesture with no money changing hands.
