  4. I moor at Highline on the Slough Arm and the chandlery is ok but limited, theres not a great deal of passing trade sadly, however John will order anything in you need and will shop around for a competative price. Ive not bought any of their Chimneys or stove pipes so am unable to comment on the quality. sorry
  5. Yes they do, even in the case of the wrong door. They will have to fork out for the board up but can still claim back from the Met for the repair, They just submit the bills or estimates and then claims branch match up their claim with the PropDam reports. How long they will continue this I wouldnt know as you can imagine the number of doors that get "opened" every day within the MPD is not just a few. Its been a few years since i filled one in but the prem search form has the claims address at the bottom

  7. I covered the part about board up so i didnt want to make a big cut n paste post. The esential part being, if no one is on scene they arrange board up and will still pay the costs not withstanding the fact they entered lawfully and dont need to pay. Ive filled in plenty of PropDam forms and the question of the job not paying has never arisen. The only time a claim has ever been questioned by 'claims branch' was on the value of a door to a pub which they felt was a bit excessive....they still payed it in the end edited to snip the long cut n paste

  10. Its always been Met policy to pay for damage they cause either when acting with a warrant or on good faith. They also call a board up service if no one is on scene to take control of the premises. quote from the met website :- Warrants, Court Orders, Welfare Matters Where entry to premises has been forced under a warrant, the MPS will generally pay for damage caused by the forced entry. Where forced entry is made to an incorrect address under a warrant, the MPS will pay for the boarding up. Welfare matters are where entry was forced based on information received from a friend, relative or neighbour expressing concern about the safety of an individual, the MPS will generally pay for the boarding up under these circumstances. The MPS will pay where damage has been caused and as a result the property is a crime scene.
