  3. You could ring them with your details and pay by credit/debit card. (unless it's all changed since I last did this) Alternatively, a visit to Sawley marina or Castle marina, or the Newark area office if you are that way, may be easier.
  4. Yes, I know where you're coming from with that one, but paparazzi pics are generally not used as evidence, unless it's 'in camera', in which case they're just taken into account, but not used as direct evidence. (as far as I'm aware) Hence reporting restrictions in some legal cases. Mind you, with the legal funds some papers have, they don't bother too much about the law, as long as it sells papers!!!

  6. I hate to pour cold water on a good idea, but if you're going to take anyones picture you do need their permission, or at least make them aware that their picture may be taken, whether it's a video or still picture, otherwise it would not stand up in a court of law (if it came to that). However, a sign in the window of your boat saying 'CCTV in operation' could have a desired effect, and keep you legal should you use any picture evidence against any miscreants. BSP-how about a bow or stern rope approx 1ft off the ground at an oblique angle on the tow path? Could produce a nice big splash or a satisfying crunch as the rope guides the mini-moto towards something wet or solid!!!
  7. A trip over to this side of the country may be worth while. There is Sawley Marina and Castle Marina (Nottingham) which may throw up something that takes your fancy.

  16. S in the API rating relates to petrol (spirit) engines (or LPG), C relates to diesel (compression). Motorcycle oils should be used where a wet clutch is in operation, as modern car engine oils have friction modifiers which will make a wet clutch slip. (A lot of motorcycles use a wet clutch, which, as it's name implies, runs in the engine/gearbox oil). Isuzu were owned at one point by GM, don't know if they still are.
  17. How come Baldock, Chris Polley and Magnetman get offered money, £ms of it, and all I get offered is Viagra? Life's hard enough!!

  19. Knew I'd find it eventually. Found a Millers oil which is a CC grade, a 20w/50, but my connection went tits up as I was loading it, and now 'tis lost. However, I found a Castrol product, in production, which is a API-CC grade. http://129.35.64.91/bpglis/lubtds.nsf/tech...04?OpenDocument And here is where it can be purchased, with a guide price too. http://www.ar-sheldon.com/acatalog/Castrol..._Gear_Oils.html

  22. Are these Alde heating units 12v or mains? I ask as I wondered if anyone has considered a wireless control unit to regulate the heating. The control unit can be put anywhere on the boat, eg at the side of the bed, and the temp set or programmed to your choice. I have a simple TowerstatRF system installed at home (Cost less than £50) but it's a 240v control for the boiler. Might be worth thinking about!
