  5. Bloody irritating, one or two interesting bits but not really up to the previous series' standard. As for that Welsh sort and her proper/put on accent.........................
  6. Hello Dick, like any other insurance, you will only find out how good it is when you come to claim, but if the relevant authorities recognise it then it must be ok! Does sound a good price though, does it cover you for excursions into the sea/tidal bits? Some companies exclude tidal or only allow a set number of days per year on tidal water and then only as transit journeys from one inland river to another.

  12. Castle Park moorings in the centre of Leicester are delightful, and as secure as any other locked mooring. We had 3 nights there (a 2 + 1 night before anybody shout 48 hour) and apart from some gay pirates in an Inflatable dinghy at 1am one night (which was both entertaining and surreal) we had a very pleasant stay. No facilities though. Unless al fresco behind the bushes is your thing.
  13. And he wasn't even in the virtual Pub, either!!!
  14. The 'net, when it works. I strongly object to paying around three and a 'alf 'nicker for old news from a magazine, 50p for a bunch of daily lies, and £1.50 for a weekend load of filth and lies. The 'net WILL give you the information you seek, it's a question of finding it. And along the way you will almost certainly find out something you didn't know, even if it's only that Bones has a column in a magazine!!!
  15. Thats an easy one, just tell the good lady you have 'Piles of work to do'.
  16. Nice one!! Got your Pink Ticket

  20. Is it a converted container? And that checker-plate bow, you don't think it may be a cast off from 'Scrapheap Challenge' per chance?

  22. I recently spoke with someone who'd been up/down the Chesterfield, and apart from all the locks, and a lack of moorings around West Stockwith, it was fine. The marina at Stockwith has a couple of visitors moorings, but I'm told that just outside the locks on the canal side, you can moor up and walk back to the clubhouse. If you ring up the marina, I believe you can book a berth. But don't hold me to that, you know how stuff changes!!! Edited to add: If you go to Google Maps, and put West Stockwith in, you can zoom in to the marina and see where to moor!!
  23. Well tidy, that is, Fuzzy! Have we decided what powerplant it is yet? Output?

  25. The first thing to do is run the water through the heater without the gas lit, and just see if there's an air lock. You may need to run it for a minute or two. What may be happening is this. There could be an air lock at the top of the heater, and when the burner is lit, that bit of the heater is overheating, and boiling any water that passes it instantly, thus keeping a vapour (or air) lock at the top of the heater matrix. A good flush through as described above may sort it.
