  1. Probably thought he could hide in the undergrowth. He should have headed for the Coventry canal. Nobody would have found him there
  2. It appeared in my account about 6 hours after my post thank God
  3. Yesterday I was happy to receive the email with my energy voucher. Deciding to pay it into my bank account it opened my banking app, I logged in and then there was a redirection page which eventually timed out due to slow internet. When trying again it says that my voucher is no longer valid. Nothing appears on my banking app almost 24 hours later and the email link is no longer valid. Has anyone else had this problem and if so how do I remedy it?
  4. You're over the worst. We've just arrived at the top of the Wigan flight having come from Leeds. The worst part for weeds was just above Gargrave along the "CURLY WIRLEYS" . In the weed hatch constantly but it was only over a couple of miles. Burnley had a lot of plastic but no complaints otherwise
  5. 2 questions. 1. Who ever reads MSN? 2. How do they spell drought wrong?
  6. We bought a second hand Zanussi and recently tried it out on the boat . It runs fine until it doesn't. All the lights go out and won't work unless I turn on the toaster! Incompatible with the 3kw Victron clearly. Works fine on mains.
  7. Sellweb can fix it. 475 pounds. Not cheap by any means but I'm going ahead
  8. I have dropped it off at Sellweb today. See what they make of it. Nice people. They have a fair few Victrons there for repair.
  9. Having always been poor I had never bought new. Eventually I bought a new washing machine when we moved into a flat. Installed it, having thrown the manual in the bin first, turned it on and marveled at its quietness. You can guess what happened during the spin cycle. Furious, I phoned the shop to complain only to be asked whether I'd removed the transport bars. That's when I went through the bin to retrieve the manual.
  10. Good point. We can fit a bigger unit up to 900h 600w and almost 600 deep. I suppose that the older style with clockwork like controls are less sensitive to boat electrics. I have come across a Candy 4kg which must be the upgraded model.
  11. Midland Chandlers told me that they supplied Candy washing machines up until last year but no longer. I have looked online but the smallest Candy I can find is a 7kg. Do they still make the 3.5kg? And if not, what might my alternatives be with a new Victron 3000 multi. My current Candy is 15 years old, still going but parts are hard to come by and it won't last forever.
  12. I got a respected specialist to hook up his laptop. He reckons the unit is unlikely to be repaired but not unfeasible. Given the value and sheer bulk of these things I figured it might be worth fixing for resale. It must weigh a good 12-15 kilos and would be a terrible waste to throw it away
  13. My 3kw inverter/charger failed recently and was advised that it was terminal. Nothing blew up, just stopped working. I have a new, near identical Victron fitted. I was then wondering whether to try and get the old one fixed for resale. It's a 14 year old Phoenix model and it seemsa shame to throwit away. Sellweb. Co.uk do repairs and have said I can take it there. Any thoughts?
  14. This is what happens when you put academics in charge. Ineptitude and ideology. If CaRT put as much effort into maintenance as they put into wellbeing and inclusion they'd be fine.
