what sort of cost would you be looking at to be self sufficient on a nb, to run stuff like the flatscreen tv, laptop, fridge? i think that's about it lekky wise{scratching head} yup.

no one said owt about expecting a boat to run on half a litre and hour chuck, what was said was some boats run on about 2 litres and hour and sum on one n half and hour. iirc

So what is the answer then? Most of the trouble caused on this forum, is in the VP. Some people cannot post without others stepping in with acidic comments & that you cannot deny is happening? I cannot post without tomsk,(now he knows who I am) writing what can only be described as vitriolic remarks to me all the time. Of course I respond, why should he not get some back?,(but I don't give him half the nastiness he send in my direction, no where near)... its virtually impossible for me to post these days (since he found out I was halo) without posting offencive, caustic and downright slanderous remarks toward me. This is THE reason I changed my identity,(from Minerva to halo) but thanks to someone who shall remain nameless, tipping him off, we are back to these stupendous posts. Should he post things like that... Is it right?... So we are left with a potentially volatile situation then... aren't we? Unless one or the other of us goes away, (which is tomsks main role in life)....to rid me from these boards. I'm not getting too much into who said what to whom three years ago. BUT... I'm sorry you find me offencive because I am patriotic to this country and I sympathise that you do not agree with my disdain at our governments policy on asylum seekers. I make no apology about the fact that I disagree with your philosophy, "that the UK should let everyone in who wants to come to this country". And in your eyes that makes me a racist. But if you look at your posts to me, they are tantamount to racism towards me, are they not? Why am I saying all this? Easy. Because this is what has been eating away at tomks for the last 3 years and never fails to remind me of it. And that is why I have changed my identities. Quite frankly, I am being harassed. and have been for the last 3 years. Thanks for reading...

I'm all with the using your real name thing. What might have started out as a joke for some or a laugh(or as in my case, i simply got fed up and wanted another name)... has turned into a monster and I for one am now really concerned about (certain)people who may have malicious intent, hiding anonymously behind some name or other, than their own name. Oh how brave they are hiding behind a made up name and how bold that makes them... I rather suspect face to face that definitely would not be the case. As it stands at this time, people post things and people answer that/those posts, and things get said that shouldn't be said, and so the snowball grows.... all this I agree with and would like to see changes in this area. Whatever people may or may not think about me, I can put my hand on my heart and say "hello, female not much of a threat to you am I?"..... But I cannot say that of others....sadly..... I have had veiled threats made to me in the past; I am female and its not funny when a male acts in this fashion and thinks its funny or a joke, or gets some sick kick out of behaviour like this, and I feel more than sure if such people were made to come out of the shadows, this sort of behaviour would be brought to a swift end.
