Why would running it off load be good for it ?

Is the idea that the boater has to satisfy the board rather than the board actually having evidence to the contrary legally valid ? Is there another licensing situation where this happens ?

It has yet to be proven that boaters are under no obligation to prove where they have been, until it is that will be CRT's version of the rules. The question is how is it going to be proven ?

The trust will bankrupt itself if they try to record every boat all the time, they are going down the wrong road if they think this new stricter enforcement will work out well for them. They should have got boaters on their side, and encouraged people to move voluntarily, those that don't move so much forget about, and those that never move just invoice them for a stiff mooring fee, enforced by the small claims court, which entails no extortionate legal fees paid to Shoesmiths lawyers.

I run a digital charger from an inverter generator, usually put it on when I go out, and sometimes the tank runs dry before I get back, I've heard that the geny coughing and spluttering to a stop and the interrupted electric output like this will damage the electronics in the charger, is this right or wrong ?

Is a Diesel engine an efficient hot water heater ? Is running a 30 HP engine to charge some batteries economical in the long term ? My rule is I never run an engine or a generator if the noise will annoy anyone else. If in doubt I ask them. In return I ask everyone else does the same. ( Which they don't ) My solar panels are very quiet, sometimes you can't hear them at all !

The CRT blokes on the ground doing the daily maintainance i have talked to have a good attitude, and are all round good eggs. They do say that the job is getting near impossible, and they hate the management. The last one I talked to told me the trust is only interested in money now, and I should trade my boat in for a canoe, because there is not going to be anymore dredging.

Didn't I post what the outcome is so far ? I cant remember. My sick note only says I should stay in the area for treatment, and I have 5 x 14 day moorings before I leave the area, after that I could turn round, but that hasn't been agreed yet. More detailed letters from doctors might be written when I see them next. If they say I should not be operating boats right now that would be "interesting". All I want to do now is get well enough to go cruising before the winter, and get out of this area, and find a winter mooring. I feel like I'm being watched by CRT all the time, and I'm not welcome here.
