  1. hello, thanks for the reccomendation the problem with a manual one is the pipe runs along the floor behind my panneling so accesing the pump for manual operation would be tricky!
  2. yes the fuel does come from the engine tank which is about a 3M pipe run, the outlet is 200mm above stove as per the instructions. I have been reccomended a priming pump does anybody know where I can get one?   3. Hello, I fitted a Diesle bubble stove to my boat last week and it's brilliant. However I always struggle to get the diesel flowing into the pot initially? I try everything from turning the dial up and down turning the valve on and off waiting for it to come through tapping the pin on the top of the valve and after messing about with it it does seem to flow after about 10 mins of fiddling, and continues to flow once lit until it's turnt off. Is there something I am doing wrong to get the initial pool of diesel into the pot for lighting? Surely I should just be able to turn the control dial and the diesel should come through almost instantly. Thanks Mitch
  4. It's not necessarily the customers comments that I am concerned about its how you are rated on ebays ranking system and how much exposure eBay will give your items. The better your feedback the more chance of you and your item being at the top of the page due to eBays algorithms. Having starts below an average of 4.7 means your selling account will be reviewed and will have selling limitations placed on it.
  5. i run my business on ebay and if a customer decides they want an item but dont want to pay for it then ebay will happily refund them if they make any noise. And if I dont comply then I run the risk of getting bad feedback which will have a direct impact on my sales

After looking at the Essex flange and how they did it I have now realised I can thread a wire from a small opening in the top of the tank to the new cut opening and slide a washer and the nut along the wire to fit something like this to my existing tank.   7. The bottom of my fuel tank is more than 8 inches above the regulator so anything above that will be more than. I already have 2 fuel tanks and don't really have the space to fit a third not if I'm going to make it big enough to make it worth having. Does anybody know how I could go about adding an outlet to the side of this tank? Other than cutting a hole in the top so I can get a nut and spanner on the inside?

Thanks for the replies yes the tank deffo is 200mm above the regulator I also saw this when reading the manuals online. the tank on the starboard side does have an outlet coming out of the bottom, I know usually for an engine this couldn't be used because of the build up however would it matter so much on a drip fed unit such as the refleks?   9. Hello, After my recent thread I have purchased a refleks heater and need to think about installing a diesel line to my stove location. I currently have a splitter coming out of my diesel tank 1 line going to the engine and 1 going to my eberspacher. Does anybody have any ideas with regards to creating a 3rd feed for the Refleks? If I use a T piece on either the engine or eberspacher line will I still be able to run both at the same time? If not what are my options? Thanks

  11. I think 1.6kw will just about do I don't like it too hot and currently have a 1200w camping heater and seems to heat the boat up just fine. £700 is out of my budget especially when it's going to be near £1000 once it's installed with flue etc hence why I was looking for a used unit

  13. i always get an airlock in the top left of my radiators so I purchased bleed valves to go at each end
  14. I have a grp roof with log burner if fitted correctly there is no heat transfer from pipe to roof as the pipe and the collar dont actually touch there is heat rope in between

  16. megnetman thanks for the link, do you know what sort of mechanism is at the end? Its one where when there is power to the motor the shaft is engaged but when the motor has no power to it it will not engage the shaft? here a better shot of the mechanism
  17. Hello, Looking at the tutorial online on how to convert your honda eu generator to electric start, the guy that sells the kit no longer sells it so am going to source the bits myself. This is the 12V motor he uses to start the generator by using a shaft through the centre of the recoil starter. Does anybody know what kind of motor and gearing he is using here? Regards Mitch
  18. Hi Bizzard like you said after about 35-40 mins it rose to about 13.9 and then my generator cut out but they were rising gradually so nothing wrong hopefully just a bit of education was needed! Thanks

  20. Hi Richard, So is this behaviour normal or is it not charging correctly when it's charging at 13.5V? Thanks for your help And if it is normal should I expect the voltage to slowly rise to 14.1V once they become more charged? The thing I don't understand is if I isolate 1 of the batterys that is 12.4V and then connect the charger it goes up to 14.V so why not with 2?

  22. Hello, So after thinking I solved the battery problem yesterday I went about concealing the cables. Tested again after concealing the cables and the charge voltage now only goes up to 13.1V max. If I connect the battery charger to 1 battery I'm getting 14.V straight away, as soon as I add another I get a max of 13.5V. Does this mean it is still charging or is there now a new problem?   23. hi dave thanks for the info, I think this may be the case as thats what it only ever says! I have discovered the root of the problem this afternoon the cable was too thin and there was a voltage drop. There was no voltage difference at both ends when measuring with volt meter however when reducing cable length the voltage went up to and stayed at 14.1V. problem solved!
  24. Measuring voltage I have a voltage reading display on the control panel but have double checked it off the batteries directly using a volt meter
