  1. One warning - I agree a very narrow margin but please keep on thread (or at least not stray into politics) or I'll move it. My two pennies - regardless of political persuasion, asking a profit making company to run one of life's basic essentials (potable water, warmth, shelter, food, free WiFi {sorry, my Grandson added the last}) you have a problem.
  2. Sometimes the filter sticks to the pipe you are removing (they look like a rubber washer with a gauze insert) which confuses you [or at least me] If you have this style, the filter is also the washer that seals the hose to the valve - don't be tempted to quickly try it without the filter - DAMHIK!
  3. It was a couple of weeks ago when I last visited as well...
  4. And yet can charge quite a meaty laptop (over 100w on modern one's)
  5. Totally understand...
  6. I'm sure it's possible but (as a relative Newbie Mod) I don't know how - a question for the boss methinks... (I'll ask)
  7. All - as a relatively new member, "matthewbalzan" is subject to moderation (the site has had a spate of one time new members posting spam) Please cut a little slack if the poster appears to be slow to respond - they have to wait for a Mod to approve each post (for now) - we're trying, honest!

  11. Some years ago our office had a proliferation of wooden "wedges" to hold fire doors open - I (in jest) said to the Fire Officer "of course in the event of a fire the wedge will combust, and the door will close" - I think his response then will be similar to the one required here...
  12. There's certainly plenty of boats pointed that way in Wolverton...
  13. It's an option which - when Solar is generating more power than your batteries can absorb - you divert the excess electricity into heating the water (Immersion Coil in the calorifier or similar) - even if it doesn't achieve full temperature it saves some energy when the proper heating kicks in. "Dump" as in "I've got more solar energy than I know what to do with, so I'll dump it somewhere..."
  14. I see it as OK - not the full link but gets you to Tony's website But I've found a user setting to view (or not) other users signatures in posting... Which makes it "my bad" for assuming everyone can see others signatures...
  15. It's at the bottom of every one of Tony's posts - I think...
  16. Post approved - but I suspect you will receive a number of postings asking for more Information and why you think the batteries are sound, and the alternator requires replacing? Members will try to help, honest, but may be sharp and to the point.
  17. Thank you for the feedback - you'd be amazed how many don't give it...

  19. Or the previous bit, you were restricted to 10 MPH and are now allowed to speed up...
