55foot if you want to go anywhere,anything longer is pushing it especially if you want to do the calder and hebble ,as I was held up for a couple of hours the other day behind a 57ft stuck in the lock near sowerby bridge

Hi,we recently bought a sailaway semi trad from Aintree boats having also been impressed by the build quality and value for money. We took delivery in September last year and are very pleased with the boat. Jamie and his staff were great to deal with and even threw in a few extra,s at no costs, We have had quite a few good comments on the build quality from people in the trade working on the boat. This is the third narrowboat we have owned ,and are delighted with it .If you want any advice please get in touch .

I have an old one you could borrow,as Iam moored in goole you could come and collect it at the weekend if you wanted.

Have you looked at Aintree boats in Liverpool,We have just taken delivery of a sailaway narrowboat from them and are very impressed with build quality having owned a number of boats before.They are a great company to deal with and seem to go the extra mile to please the customer,

Only trying to help,I assumed the paintwork is in solid condition and not flaking,having only 45years of painting experience I thought I would give my opinion

you should always undercoat, unless you can guarantee to rub to rub down every inch of old paint ,if not it can flake off in the future.,There are no shortcuts to making a professional job, hope this helps
