  1. Hahaha thanks blizzard Nice use of noises lol It sounds like the pump for the tap when it's on, not a strange sound at all just a normal pumpy sort of whine?
  2. Hi guys Just bought a new boat with a shower and it has been stood unused a while. The pump makes a noise but isn't removing the water any ideas? (Sorry for hijacking the thread but thought it might be usefull if your fitting one )
  3. Hi we are looking for a bigger boat and after much looking have spotted a scam out there so I thought I would share with you good people who don't know. After spotting a suitable boat we emailed the owner. She accepted our provisional offer and said her husband had died 2 months earlier which is why the boat was going. As she was up near Aberdeen she would like the deal done via ebay. She would send a 'private' listing to us and we should 'buy it now' then the boat would be covered by bays money back guarantee. We would pay for the boat, ebay would hold the money for 3 days while the boat was delivered and inspected and if we were happy the boat would be ours and the monies released. No.1 she didn't want us to come see the boat before paying (as if) No.2 ebay a money back guarantee don't include motor vehicles, boats or caravans. No.3 the ebay link was sent via email not through ebay No.4 I found the real advert that they had nicked the pictures and blurb from No.5 I found the scam mentioned on the FAQ page on ebay But just for all the trusting soul's out there that ain't as cynical as myself please be carefull If the price seems really cheap there is a reason....... Don't go on 'loot' we found 6 boats with daft prices that are obviously scams, so have reported all the ones that have replied back so far in the same way.
  4. After seeing it yesterday and an 8 hr round trip"...........I wouldn't trust it to cruise round a fish pond lol Ahh well you live and learn lol
  5. Well I was going to keep it at shardlow and use it on the Trent and soar till I could get my rya skippers licence then try coastal. If I can get it back for a reasonable price that is
  6. Hi I'm thinking of buying a boat located on the norfolk broads to boston. It's a RLM 32ft and would need taking by sea to boston. Just wondering what the price would be ?
  7. We went through that lock a couple of times last year after picking up our boat from newark and taking it to shardlow then back to Beeston a couple of times for repairs. And that was our first time ever on a boat We found it actually easier than some other smaller locks, it's not that scarey (even for newbies like us) Just take your time and you will be fine!
  8. We have been on Shardlow since last July and have loved it here, there is a great pub over the rd that has 2 meals for £10 (including steak) the marina always seems clean, and the toilets/ shower Deffo is cleaned by the fairy since we have never seen em but they have always just been lol
