  1. It was visible at cropredy but not by the time it was in Syston - by which time it would have had to navigate the manned locks at Foxton where you have to provide licence and index number
  2. I have to say i find Mr Lillies comments in exceedingly bad taste.....is his memory really that poor? He stiffed a charity for 180k while continuing to draw a very large salary, drive a very nice car, take lots of foreign holidays and plenty of jollies paid for by his almost bankrupt business, but thats all forgotten is it? Not here it isnt! The man is an idiot who has the gall to call out another for doing much the same!!
  3. Hope they held skippers licences & relevant insurances to carry the public? Edited to add: Sorry, see this was asked a page back
  4. http://www.narrowboatworld.com/index.php/news-flash/6826-p85m-is-not-enough NBW want to know why CRT arent spending like they should...... Yet they have backed PL in not paying his dues to CRT ? I admit PL doesnt owe 25m but even so....slight contradiction in writing dont you think?
  5. http://www.leicestermercury.co.uk/Boat-owners-Pillings-Lock-Marina-hope-avoid-cut/story-20952097-detail/story.html Love the comment at the end of this..... llamalamb | April 12 2014, 11:57AM This news item is confusing and contradictory. How can the original owners be in liquidation if the current owners are still in business and have run the complex since it opened? Rate 1 Report Read more: http://www.leicestermercury.co.uk/Boat-owners-Pillings-Lock-Marina-hope-avoid-cut/story-20952097-detail/story.html#ixzz2yhBufjNn Same question in everyones mind! And its still listed as a 315 berth marina!!
  6. Hahaha,how i wish i could like that comment
  7. Because its been there all along under one of the other companies doormats?
  8. Who owns PLT? Coz it sure as eggs is eggs is not RR. Is it wholly owned by QMH which is Steadman & Lillie?
  9. So CSH is part of PLM then, constantly referring to us and we. Theres another salary drawn i imagine too. From a company that cannot pay its bills
  10. http://www.narrowboatworld.com/index.php/leatest/6810-still-threats-to-close-pillings I have to ask...does PL write or own Narrowboatworld? Its a very one sided view that it takes?
  11. And theres an example of double standards if it ever needed to be seen. The boat owed money so they render it immobile. Erm,hello, they owe CRT money yet complain about the marina having its access restricted. Simply laughable!
  12. PL didnt know Mr Steadman before Steadman invested in PLM? Why would a successful businessman keep PL in the business after causing such a debacle? Does PL have something on Mr Steadman to keep him in his job?
  13. If they do....i hope they are quickly disabused of that notion! I hope theyre keeping an eye on this thread
  14. That wont be the workshop thats there now....as far as i know theyve not been there a year. The CRT tug Little John was heading towards Pillings today
  15. Lets hope thats the case,as if not i dont see g jetty being empty at all
  16. So they move boats from one jetty to another as theyre not at full occupancy,so have the space, thereby not actually reducing the amount of customers and revenue but supposedly closing part of g jetty so it cant be reused by new moorers? They won't close any of it,no CRT go in to check occupancy above twice a year so g jetty can stay full and they get a reduced naa fee but havent lost out themselves? Well, theres a pat on the back PL
  17. thanks....looks.......erm, lovely?
  18. You mean you don't trust what Mr Lillie announces....? Surely not...why would anyone doubt such a fine upstanding businessman And obviously poor Roy isn't trusted to speak for himself
  19. Lets hope so Paul. So that it doesn't happen all over again
  20. interesting.... http://www.narrowboatworld.com/index.php/news-flash/6772-new-naa-for-pillings
  21. Only the landowner on one side is in agreement, the others im not sure have been consulted
  22. The water was given back to the various landowners (riparian rights) style
