  1. Haha good OLD dog house... The only post that is no contribution whatsoever hehe keeping up! I have got a Collingwood. Good value but wouldn't recommend as dealing with them was a true nightmare (specially post customer service and guarantee repairs).
  2. If you mean a CRT license, your mooring managers should be able to advise you if it is compulsory for your berth as different moorings / Marinas have got different requirements.
  3. Better than off the self ones but not overly impressed (to me).
  4. I am boater and proud. Those around me know it and respect me (some even envy me - the nice way -). The only place I found classes is actually within the boat community. It's a paradox, yes.
  5. No internet slag. Wanna play? Have a guess!
  6. Plus we are speaking about a widebeam here. The niggles of any non pump out system don't do it to me for the benefit of having some under bed storage...
  7. Ha! Some witty comment that is. I agree. Housing in London can be a problem and some found an answer in boating. Fair enough. I don't believe there has to be any form of philosophy behind boating to be able to live on a boat and everybody should be equally welcome. However, I believe some basic knowledge of the rules and respect for fellow canal and river users should be implemented but this is a problem sometimes found also in users that claim to be "interested in boating" too.
  8. Sure it is, sorry. I suggest u look for more pictures of what can be achieved on a boat though.
  9. I use Ecover too as yeah, "in theory" they make more environmentally friendly products than the average makes. One thing to be said though, I normally need to use more quantity of Ecover than another leading brands to achieve the same results. This is happens specially with the washing up liquid.
  10. This post cannot be displayed because it is in a forum which requires at least 10 posts to view.
  11. Good tip, thanks, my current ones sink all the time :-S
  12. Thank you. I don't moor in a marina, no. I didn't realise some people wash ropes :-) It sounds like a good thing to do, however since I am moving all year round I believe my ropes are working ropes throughout the year.
  13. Hi to you all, I am looking for advice on what lines are the best for standard mooring etc. I spent a fortune on manilla ones a couple of years ago but I can't rely on them any more as they have already snapped a couple of times due to the heavy winds combined with wetness (I believe?). Plus they are quite heavy. Can anybody share their experience with these? I would like to replace them and I am hoping to get some more reliable, longer lasting and more easily handleable ones. Any advice? Thank you, GalaTheCat
