  7. lol Pretty good actually - at only 57' long it gives us enough space to have a second bedroom, and still have a great sized galley & saloon; oh and an "indoor" engine/utility room. Could well be proved wrong, but we didn't see giving up 3 or 4 feet in outdoor length at the stern end to be a negative compromise for the interior space / comfort it will provide. There is enough space out there for the two of us (just). B~
  8. lol are you suggesting my back end doesn't look right? Not so worried if she looks aesthetically pleasing or traditional to others, more of the mind that we will be CCer's and appreciate there will be many times we will need to be cruising during periods of inclement weather - as well as that "little bit" of extra storage it would provide during periods when we aren't cruising for wet footwear, umbrella's etc. Ta B~

  14. How bazaar!! Why would anyone think it ok to substitute a rib with a breast?? B~
  15. Hi all, Ok....another novice question. I've looked at all the sites mentioned in this thread, I've looked at all the sites listed in the google search. None seem to show any pics or prices for a WB Trad Pram. Is there such a thing? Or are pram covers only normally used on Semi Trad and Cruiser WB's? Ta B~
  16. Question: Is the above quote meant to imply the 4 loads of washing make their own way to either the cloths line or dryer, then manage to magically iron themselves and under their own steam, get back to their hangers, wardrobes and/or chest of drawers? The things hubby does for me, that I think I'm meant to be grateful for: I've recorded such & such a program for you dear = he's pushed a button on the remote I've put all the bottles in the recycle bin = He's put his Beer bottles in the recycle bin (note only he drinks beer) I've made chilli & rice for us for dinner = he's taken the chilli I made out of the freezer, and turned on the stove the list is endless - but then again I do appreciate the fact he's the one who empties the kitty litter trays (good training for the loo on the boat I thinks) what would I do without him B~ Edited to include first part of Qestion

  19. Again, thanks Carl for making me LOL - greenie to you B~
  20. Brilliant link Alan - extremely informative and will be relevant to us, or will be, when we make it onto the waters as CCers as this is one of our chosen locations as well as the GU. The guidelines seem to me to be both clear to understand as well as easy to achieve, from a novices point of view. Is anyone aware if there is a link to the same sort of guidelines for the GU? I appreciate the above link only applies to the western end of the K&A. Ta B~
  21. Same thing here, but I thought it happened to me around 9 ish Fatal error: Out of memory (allocated 8650752) (tried to allocate 122880 bytes) in /home/ggbqjfrf/public_html/forums/admin/applications/forums/extensions/coreExtensions.php on line 812 B~
  22. LOL abbreviation I picked up in the catering trade, more years ago than I care to remember - way back in time when acronyms weren't common place B~
  23. Hi Roger, I believe there are 3 threads currently running regarding surveyors, one for the Derbyshire area, one for the NW around Manchester and another one for a different area. I do know from reading the threads that Trevor Whitling comes Very highly recommended. He is based in Rugby, but is happy to travel up to Chorley to do our full pre-purchase. During the two phone conversations I've had with him so far, he has provided me with Very valuable information, not just about surveys, but other things that we need to consider as well. Talks with me in reassuring tones and language that novices like me can fully comprehend. And he has Very competitive rates compared to some others. Sorry your surveyor wasn't up to your expectations, hope all works out ok for you. B~
  24. Ange - I never pictured you as a spitter Feeling "fairly" safe it's not me....don't have an avatar yet edited to try to correct spitter spelling!!!
