Busibodies! We had 3 acres of land with the cottage we bought, the local farmer was annoyed as he was using it illegally. The wood was where he kept his calves next to his field and another acre he had just added it to his field. We barbwired both off to exclude his animals, fortunately he hadn't been doing it long so had no rights although he did try to say he had bought from the previous owners my solicitor sent him a letter saying forget it and that was it. I had one section ploughed and put in tatties the other i used to coppice for firewood. The tatties were huge and I had to sell them at the side of the road with an honesty box as I had that many. The edge of the tatty field was bought off me for widening the road end they paid 30k for it after they tarmacadamed it whilst we were away for a couple of days! They thought it was theirs apparently, simple mistake to make I suppose? It could also be lower than he thinks because thinks isn't real research is it?

Exactly when council houses were sold they weren't knocked down generally the people that lived there remained. When they died either children inherited or they were sold

I have friends living in council houses they bought when Maggie was in power, I suspect most are still in private ownership and before much longer more rented accommodation will be going the same way. As for building 1.5 million houses to rent it will never happen
