  4. When it comes to blacking damp will always be a problem, making sure that you have done a good job pressure washing is the first step. If there is any patches you will find that they won't dry, also giving a good amount of time for prep makes all the difference. If you don't have an industrial pressure washer you may find that you will end up doing a lot of scraping, after that once your first coat has been done normally I suggest leaving 24 hours between coats. Brokers do work all year round and most marina's are open during the winter months even narrowboat hire bases are open even if they are not hiring (winter maintenance takes up much of their time tho), I would say 5-6 days should be enough to complete the job to a decent three coat level.
  5. What does it include with the engine?, is it literally the engine alone or does it include batteries, exhaust, stern gear, and prop?. Remember when it comes to fitting and engine there are difficulties. If you have a company fit the engine it means you will get warranty from the supplier, if you decide to fit an engine yourself I do suggest that you read the manufactures instructions carefully. If you were to fit the engine but you don't follow all the instructions that they set out you will find that if something is wrong with the engine you may find getting replacements on warranty difficult. If fitting yourself the alignment is quite important depending on the coupling that you fit, things like python and aqua drives can make alignment less difficult but once again read what there requirements are before fitting.
