  4. Do you know if you have more than one regulator? It does seem that is the problem.

    Sloe Gin

Sloe gin came about because of rough gin. Cheapest possible gin made into the stuff that dreams are made of.

    Sloe Gin

There is a recipe that states you add slivers of silver into the mix but I cannot think how that improves on something so delicious.

  13. Definitely put some leading edge on the rudder to make it more efficient but also check your prop blades for damage or distortion.
  14. Lone Wolf, well done and welcome to the lonely waters of self abuse. You really nearly got it right first time I guess, the fuel filters need to be changed if you do not know the last time that they were inspected.

  16. No, any maps published after 1938 were dis-information.
  17. I think GPS is very useful, especially for marking the exact point of sunken U boats and any long stroke diesel engines that can be used on narrow boats. Actually they are useful for crossing the Wash or the Thames Estuary.

  20. I'm surprised at some of the answers here. Bathrooms and clothing the main but I suppose to be expected. I find Baldocks answer the best.
  21. What's wrong with it? I can see lots of potential as a canal gin palace!
  22. 56 feet will get you around 99% of the system
  23. A bet, a game of cards, swapped for a duff girlfriend, payment of dues? What have you. Welcome anyway.
  24. There apparently is a conundrum here. I'm new to boat and my narrow boat-engine? I take that you have just bought a boat with a duff engine. Well the first thing to do is start it and find out what is wrong. If the fuel has been sitting in the tank for too long, that is also a factor.

There's a two page article about narrow boats and holidays and canal festivals in the Saturday Telegraph.
