  2. Used the Huawei E5330 on 3 for all of last years trips. Worked fine stuck to the window, although it does have an external aerial socket which I have not used yet. TBH had more trouble trying to buy more time for it than anything else, as 3's website doesn't like topping up Mifi sims for some reason, you have to ring I'm told.

  8. From memory earlier this year there was a long stretch from the salt museum and past Marbury park abive Northwich where it was concrete edging and solid pathways but would make excellent moorings.
  9. I would expect some improvements in the depth and the lock gates early next year seeing as the IWA bash is in Ilkeston next year. Also agree with not mooring in cotmanhay but the basin has good moorings.

  13. Mercia have the "Golden Windlass" award which is given to members of the Mercia community for helpful acts and I would certainly recommend Rob, Jo and Lou should get the award this month. As for Nick and Anne and Junior besides stacking them with greenies, is there some sort of flag that could be put on their profiles?
  14. Well done Junior Hopefully all resolved soon and the conspiracy theories can all be put to rest.......
  15. Am I safe to assume the boat called Aurora at Fradley Junction is one of the known 6? I remember a post about a boat going out for the weekend but can't find it in all this other stuff.
  16. Was on the middlewich arm 27th from the T&M end and didn't spot anything that looked right.
  17. Your about 10 miles in front of us, but we will keep looking anyway.
  18. Mentioned to vlockie at Tryley on the shroppie. Have been looking out on our way down to Norbury Junction.
  19. Yes. I think that's more like what I'm thinking. As for using a boat hook I will try tonight but the advantage of the hook is it will thread through the larger ring easier to pull the smaller ring back through.
  20. That's it. I was thinking I'd answered my own question. Thanks Ray.
