Thank you so much folks! Does anyone use this place - www.canalworld.net (edited... it could be www.canalplan.org.uk) If all goes to plan, it looks like I've a 9 day journey to plan to start with. I've just typed in my starting point and finishing point and it's come up with what seems to be every step of the way down to the last detail. Not in map form, but I can see now which guides I'll need to start with. I've just got to put my specs on and read it all probably. I think there are maps on there as well, I just need to investigate a bit further...

Hello all. Should I buy the Nicholson's ones, I've tried finding them on ebay a bit cheaper but they only seem to have one or two... or shall I download the BW ones to start with?

Perhaps send your photo and a curt letter saying that if he doesn't write to you to apologise, you're going to name and shame. And that if it happens again, you will take much stronger action.

Hello All Does everyone use eco-friendly cleaning products or do you use standard washing up liquid such as Fairy Liquid, and Flash spray to clean your bathroom? I am more than prepared to pay more for eco-friendly products but would like opinions please, if I splash out on the eco stuff, someone is bound to parp up and say naaahhh, you don't want to be doing that.... Does anyone ever do the basic painting themselves, then get the artwork done professionally, or does it look really bad when you do that? Can you tell I'm new?

So would the amplifier go between the aerial socket inside behind the tv, and the aerial connection on the tv?

Thank you, we're not anywhere at the moment, strictly speaking, it has had a survey and we're waiting on the report. Do you mean a booster thing for the aerial? To be honest, we haven't had a really good look at it or much of a test, the reception at the place we viewed it is supposed to be not very good anyway, so we really should wait awhile before we write it off I guess..

So where that little screw thing is on the top, do you mean attach the co-ax to that and then connect the other end to a better aerial? There are other issues to rectify before we go ahead on this boat, but me being me, I have to get the TV sorted first...

I was wondering why the tv in a boat I viewed couldn't get a signal, this is the thing on the roof, it needs one of those antenna things in it, doesn't it? Or if I get the boat, shall I whip the whole thing off and start again with something else?

There's a boat for sale that we're looking at and it has the same name as my husband's ex, so the paintbrush will be coming out as he's handing over the cash...
