I have already been on the ecs marine website and even called them but they do not do thelatches what i want unless i have missed them. If you go to doorfurnituredirect and put showcase fastener in the search box it will bring up a similar catch to what i want. Thats why i was trying to locate the company ecs that longport brokerage reffered to in the email. Cheers

I am having a couple of cupboards built for the n/b but having trouble finding the exact catch. So i phoned longport brokerage who supplied and originaly built the boat and asked if they could supply a couple of catches or showcase fastener as they are called, yes they could to the tune of £24 each. So i googled showcase fasteners and came up with doorfurnituredirect they could supply a similar showcase fastener for £1.96 inc vat. I emailed longport brokerage back to ask if they may have got the price wrong and sent them details of doorfurnituredirect. They emailed me back to say the price was correct and they had looked in there ecs catalogue to confirm this. I have googled ecs brass and it comes up with a marine company in luton but they do not supply that showcase fastener. So i just wondered if anyone else have heard or used a company called ecs that supply showcase fasteners. Thanks

We put two fire angels co meters on our 70ft n/b one in the saloon for the fire and one in the galley for the cooker. saloon is at the front of the boat and the galley is at the rear. Better safe than sorru

There, s no argument from this end, you admitted to having no strong feelings towards cc ers. So you have more of less said boaters are not all the same your thoughts have shown that. So do not be hypocriticle ( the spelling probably ain,t right ) of me when i use the term boys and there toys. It is to a figure of speech

I feel that the boating community is already split to a degree just look back at any headed topic regarding cc ers have a read through them make your own decision.

Some ccers do not bend the rules anymore than someone living on a leisure mooring. so why doesn,t crt do something about that, perhaps i need to ask them just to see the answer
