  1. Thanks. It turned out it was an airlock. All sorted now...phew!
  2. We have a nabru sofa on our boat...we replaced a fixed L shape with it. The nabru is much more comfortable, and i think was pretty good value...you can replace bits in the future and even get spare covers etc. The only slight draw back in my view is that they are quite deep and come out almost half way across the boat even though it buts up right under the gunnel.
  3. Hi all I'm hoping someone can shed light on a problem with my lockgate stove. I switched my diesel feed off the other day...forgetting my stove was lit...and now it won't light! I have turned the diesel back on, cleaned the fuel filter on the lockgate regulator. I have also verified that fuel is running into the regulator by switching the stove controls on while the filter cover was off, and I get a steady drip of fuel (speed dependent on where the regulator is set). So that seems fine. But I still get no fuel into the stove. I have used the cleaning rod to make sure the fuel inlet on the stove is clear. I assume there can't be air locks in a gravity fed system with an open outlet on the end...or am I being a numpty assuming that. Any suggestions welcome. Thanks
  4. The only problem I have found with 24v is the difficulty of getting spares on the cut...better to carry things you might need.
  5. Perfectly normal...just wait untill every conversation gets around to the subject of toilets! Good luck.
  6. That sounds a much better option if on shore power, but even 500W off the batteries would be heavy use for any significant time...or a genny at bed time might not be popular.
  7. Hi The link below gives some guidance on this matter. The first stage is to work out if a trade is being carried out. For many Members' Clubs the issue will stop here because there is no trade. Revenue Guidance It is only if you are deemed to be trading that the question of mutuality is then considered. I suspect for most Clubs, any surplus income is not profit and is intended to be applied on facilities or benefits for Members. I hope this adds to the discussion (as its my first post!)
