I know of a perfect spot on the L&L just below Skipton where you can moor and watch the cycling without any interferance from any other onlookers. Ideally placed above the road, so you can sit on the roof of the boat and watch it pass by or inside if the weather is bad. Where is this spot I hear you say? Dont be daft I aint sharing it cos I'm gonna be there.

Thanks for the replies! As Rod says I have my answer. As a Mirfield lad born n bred I know the area like the back of my hand. Thanks for the cruising tips though not necessary. 4x2 it is then. Skye I'll give you a hollow if required. As we are on our native stomping ground from Sowerby Bridge to Leeds we have had plenty of offers of help. I'll add you to the list! Ta.

We will be hopefully taking our boat along this canal for the first time in the Summer. The ground paddles on this stretch which need a timber (like a pick axe handle) to operate them. What can I use? A piece of 3x2 or 4x2 will do?

I have noticed today that when I put the throttle lever out of gear with the red button pushed in and give it a bit of gas the prop shaft turns ever so slightly. Maybe a full revolution in 1-2 mins. If I put more gas on it turns faster. This may be a a daft question for some but it aint for me.

Peter Monday would be better. Some one has said theyre coming for some tomorrow but till they turn up I am not gonna get excited. They got in touch first. I'll let you know over the weekend on here or Monday. If they do come I'll take a photo of whats left. I dont want you trailing for nowt. Your number 2 on the list. Its still there. The pile will be at its greatest by Friday. So collection needs to be from the weekend onwards if you want it all. Its mainly 6" by 2" floor joists. There is some other wood too in different forms. Lengths consists of about 8ft at the longest down to a few foot.

Fine by me. It switches itself off at 10pm and comes back on at 6.45am. Dont forget I can wake you up during the night, as I know where you are. Revenge is my middle name!

I have about 2-3 ton of firewood available. Free to anyone who wants to collect it. You will need transport to collect it and a saw. Its in 6" x 2" at various lengths. This wood must go asap or it will end up on a bonfire in November. Its about 5 minutes by car from the Bradford Royal Infirmary. Please contact me Cheers Darren

Taking without owners consent(TWOC). You are the owner. Maybe not of the new parts but the car is yours. If you are not happy with the service and wish to contest it, you are within your rights to take your car. If you have ordered a meal and you have an issue with it, you are within your right to refuse to pay anything for it.

Nothing stopping you driving away with your car from the car park using spare keys.

Interesting!!! I know he appears some days on a bicycle. Next time I'm in town and I notice his bike isnt there I shall look for his car. I dont need the assistance of a traffic warden.

2 weeks later and the said evicted plant growth is still there. He obviously isn't that bothered or he would have shifted it himself by now.
