Circulation pump speed

Ive just fitted a new boiler to the boat a Kabola E7 with a Jabsco circulation pump with the variable speed, does anyone know is there any hard and fast rules i should be following to determining the speed of the pump?

Slowest speed first and if the furthest most rad don't get warm turn up the speed???

Thanks ....

If the speed is too slow, the heat is not carried away from the stove fast enough. This would result in the water boiling, the stove shutting down, or insufficient heat reaching the radiators. If the circulation is too fast, it just wastes electricity and makes noise. Therefore as you say, start slow and increase as necessary to get adequate heat to the rads

IF the rads are balanced correctly (google radiator balancing) they should warm up at the same rate.

With some pumps it may be possible to use a pipe thermostat and some sort of power regulation to run them at a slower or normal speed depending on boiler outlet temperature.

cheers, Pete.
