Gas engineer near Harlow/Roydon area?

I'm ready to have my gas fitted, at last! Can anyone recommend a boat gas engineer based not too far from Roydon Marina? If so please let me know. Many thanks.

How about trying the advanced search facility on

 

http://www.gassaferegister.co.uk/

 

and select LPG and Boats

 

Just in case double check the fitter has the correct ticket (LPG for boats) when they come.

 

Phone them up for a chat to get an idea of how much they charge, also might be seeing if they're on sites like checkatrade for reviews.

That link was great by the way, even though several of the email addresses there for the local gas engineers are wrong. I got one guy in the end and he's coming to do the work on Saturday. He's Cole from High View Heating and his quote was quite reasonable I think, considering it will take him most of the day to do the job. Thanks again.

Update! I would like to completelly UNRECOMMEND Cole Sewell. Every gas knowledgeable person who sees my installation points out how badly designed and unsecure it is (or as as I have secured it better now). Do not use this guy! You have been warned.

Very sorry to hear that In what way was/is it badly designed and unsecure, any photos?

 

From now on I won't recommend Gas Safe Register, seems better to look for a personal recommendation from someone with the right boats ticket and experience with boats. Still the website is useful to check if a recommended person has current certification or not.

 

One quirk of the website seems to be that if you want a boats person, selecting boats and NOT LPG will return more results.
