In previous discussions this always seemed to come out pretty close to recommendations from engine suppliers and other people in the know like Crowthers.

That's right - I was quite surprised when I used it then asked Crowthers what they thought and they came up with exactly the same spec.  I began to wonder if Crowthers used the Vicprop site..   

 

@Dalslandia is our boffin on these matters but I don't think he's that active on the forum these days..?
