jddevel
With the current high cost of fitting out my sailaway am considering using Comastic on the hull over Interluf 16 until I can afford blasting and Zinner. Any comments on the product especially one remark I found regarding it being a major health hazard with one guy making this comment. About 3 am in the morning, I thought I was dying. In fact, according to the doctor, that could easily have happened. I was ill for over a week with suspect liver and kidney problems all because of my use of Comastic. Much later, contacting the manufacturer, they said their product should only be applied when using some kind of air pressure mask."
Ex Brummie
Comastic needs to be applied to bare steel, or a previous coating of comastic. I'm sure the boatyard that applied mine did not dress up, and using the touch up can, I've not noticed anything amiss.
lulu fish
It shouldn't be applied by someone that doesn't know what they're doing, but once applied correctly it is very good and long lasting.
