Which paint?

I have old wooden planks on the floor previously stained with - who knows. There are patches of bare wood showing.

 

I want to repaint/stain it preferably with something anti slip if possible.

 

Any suggestions what to use please.

Any chance of a picture or two? Matching stain is an art, so it'll be hard to get it perfect.

 

A good finish would be with something like this. I've used it very successfully on a few occasions. It's really easy to re-coat as required, but don't leave it until it's worn right through and started wearing the wood again.
