Tony Dunkley
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . I seem to remember a forum poster getting stuck for quite a while after listening to VHF & trying to avoid a gravel barge but I don't think they operate anymore do they? No, not since July 2013 when the traffic was ended with minimal notice after Lafarge, who operated the new Besthorpe Quarry, merged with Tarmac and the new management made the decision to supply the concrete plant at Whitwood [near Wakefield] by road from a Tarmac quarry at Nosterfield, a few miles North of Ripon.
