Shower/Toilet Wall Sheeting

Featured Posts

Hi

I need to rebuild a toilet/shower room on my narrowboat and want to line the inside of the partitioning with a fully waterproof sheet of some kind.

Any suggestions for a thinish sheet material that can be used for this purpose. Plain white finish would be fine.

thank you

I bought a couple of 2m x 1m white tile effect wall panels from B&Q for inside my shower enclosure. I can't remember what they were called but they were about £50 each. Tiles would probably have been cheaper but I was putting these sheets over 18mm oak-faced MDF and the problem with tiling and vibration is that you might get cracks in the grout, particularly when the boat goes into dry dock or gets lifted and things tend to move. A neighbour of mine had to have a wooden bulkhead replaced due to water seeping behind her shower tiles, so these sheets seemed like a good idea and they don't look bad.

You have to stick them to the wall with a product called Nail & Seal - a cross between silicone & no more nails.

B&Q only had white or silver but these people seem to have a better range
