Sandblasting on the Thames

Hi all,

 

Am having a boat delivered from the Netherlands and the surveyor has suggested I get it sand-blasted and epoxy-painted. Does anyone know of a good boatyard on the Thames somewhere that has the facility to sandblast (a covered dock is presumably needed) and has a big crane?

You could use the drydock at Sunbury EA yard ..... you would need a crew to do the work though .... Shepperton Marina is just down the road , they might be able to provide the manpower.

 

The drydock is just that , Flood the dock , drive the boat in and pump it dry , no need for a crane ...

You don't say whether you mean the tidal Thames, how long the boat is or whether the boat is coming from the Netherlands by sea ??

Do you want docks on the tidal approach or do you mean above Teddington because you plan to keep the boat on the Thames ??
