Updated Stoppage on the River Calder...

----

Wakefield Branch (Aire & Calder Nav)
Starts At: Bridge 2, Eastmoor Railway
Ends At: Bridge 2, Eastmoor Railway

Wednesday 9 December 2015 07:00 until Thursday 17 December 2015 18:00

Type: Navigation Restriction
Reason: 3rd Party Works

Update on 15/12/2015:

The Contractors have informed us that due to the high tides the works have been delayed and are now due to finish on 17 December.

----

This bridge is just to the east of Wakefield - I always thought the tidal limit was West Haddersley. Anyone else noticed new stretches of tidal rivers?

It's not (directly) related to the Eastern Relief Road - Original stoppage was

'Contractors (AECOM) are carrying out bridge survey works under the Railway bridge. The canal will be restricted at this location due to the use of a floating pontoon. All boat traffic should be prepared to stop if requested and abide by the contractors advice, this may result in delay of no longer than 15-20 minutes.'

The new bridge footings are being constructed at the moment and all should be complete in May.
