Thorfast
The original Superlambanana was a sculpture by a Japanese artist as a comment on genetically modified foods. It was then housed in the city and has become a mascot - raising lots of money for charity in the process Actually there were lots of lambananas, all painted or decorated in different designs. They were all over the city.

Yep, they're decorated by local groups, artists and schools and were auctioned off for charity. The first year was Lambananas, then there were penguins. Other places have followed with lions, Shaun the Sheeps etc
gaggle
geest and the banana boats and the new zealand lamb boats . edit to add - the artist may have changed his mind as to what it meant once it came to SELLING the lamb banana , I think Gormley also changed his thinking as to what the iron men depicted , ANOTHER PLACE I think changed to depict men looking out towards far flung lands that emigrants were would be heading to.
