New Approach to King's Lynn

Daseley's Sled Approach Outer

Mariners are advised that following the continued improvements to the Daseley's Sled and "Tango" channel a new channel approach to King's Lynn will use the Daseley's Sled.

Floating aids to navigation will be removed from the Bulldog channel and repositioned in the Daseley's Sled on or about the 22nd June 2015.

The Pilot Boarding Area will be relocated to close east of new No.1 Lightbuoy and the radio reporting point inward will be relocated between No.2 and No.3 Lightbuoys.

The existing Bulldog beacon tide station will remain in position until a new beacon is established in the Daseley's Sled.

No. 1 Conical lightbuoy Fl.G.3s establish in position 52° 56'.000N 000° 21'.500E

No. 2 lightbuoy move to position 52° 55'.000N 000° 21'.900E

No. 3 lightbuoy move to position 52° 55'.000N 000° 21'.600E

No. 4 lightbuoy move to position 52° 53'.650N 000° 21'.690E

No.5 existing lightbuoy remove for maintenance.

No.7 lightbuoy renumbered to No.5 move to position 52° 53'.440N 000° 21'.230E

These lightbuoys, pilot boarding location and report point will be on BA1200.

No.1, 2 and 3 lightbuoys, pilot boarding location and report point will be on BA108

It was a tad shallow in places when we came through at Easter.

 

Hoping the new channel has some more depth too it!

 

It does - if you believe the new chart (dated today).

 

I wonder if buoy X marks the spot where King John's treasure is buried ....
