We are going up through Braunston, Hatton etc and into Birmingham. Suggestions for good/bad places particularly in Birmingham to moor for the odd night or two gratefully received. Cheers Ian .

If you want to go into the centre of Birmingham, then go the North Stratford route to Birmingham from Lapworth. Go from Hockley Heath/Dickens Heath area to the centre in one hop. For mooring in the centre then on the Main Line or Oozells Street loop are better than Gas St area in my opinion, less footfall past the boat.

 

If you are going out on the Birmingham and Fazeley then go from the centre to top of Curdworth locks or further in a day, or stop at Star City to break it into 2 days.
