I am an old boater owning grandpa 2. For about 5 years moored at

Kidsgrove but had to let it go.

Now retired I am planning to buy an other narrow boat is it possible to bring a boat from the river wey to Runcorn

How long would it take

And would you come via grand Union or the Oxford canal.

A long journey but for a retired it is manageable

And certainly cheaper than by road transport

You don't mention the length of width of the boat, you wouldn't want to get to Dutton stop lock and find you don't fit. if we're talking a narrowboat fine if it's a widebeam then maybe not. You don't say why you want to go to Runcorn, that of itself is a mystery to anyone that's been there
