We are lucky in that our cruisers hull is double skinned which provides some insulation. A lot of the interior is also trimmed in foam backed cream vinyl which provides some extra insulation and looks a bit better then carpet glued to the walls.

Yes that helps a lot.....the cabin of Shapfell is double skinned and as you say that makes a big difference. The problem for some of the people who are trying to liveaboard GRP boats is of course is that "budget" boats are often single skinned and as thin as the builder can get away with.
