Confused...

Ok so had one of these for 5 years whilst continually cruising, this one is 2 years old.

At the moment were on shore power, thing is, I noticed last night that whilst in 'Auto' position with no load from any sockets the main board lights are on constant instead of the usual pulsating waiting for a load. I have triple checked that there's nothing plugged in any 240 sockets and ha e now turned the inverter off in case there's a problem.

It it just because were on shore power...

Thank you

The auto and full On modes work the same when shore power is present. It runs the charger and passes through the Combi to power your AC sockets continuously, with the inverter not running. If for some reason the shore power is not reaching the Combi or simply disconnected and with the power saving auto mode selected, the inverter will be on standby. Any slight AC load (microwave on standby for example) will cause inverter to automatically power on though but may not be enough to hold it on so it cycles on/off at approx two second interval. Switching to the full On position will bypass the inverter standby mode so without shore power it runs continuously to power your AC sockets irrespective of load.

Not sure if this answers your query

So in auto with shore power connected it is correct that the standby mode doesn't apply and the 2second on/off waiting for a load will not be present, just solid green lights as if on full?

Correct if you are referring to the remote panel indication.

In any case the light flashing is not a recognised indication just a result of a very light AC load causing the inverter to cycle on/off, as explained above. If it does this suggest you select as required, either full On or centre Off position.
