Boat manufacturer - Les Jones?

I was wondering if anyone had any info on Les Jones narrowboat manufacturer?

I have never heard of him and neither google nor the search engine here can provide anything on him

 

I have heard of a Les Allen but my boats BSS certificate lists the manufacture or boat builder as a Les Jones and this information was required for insurance purposes

Is it possible that the esteemed Mr L Jones was general member of the public who bought a shell and built the boat himself?

 

I am finding narrowboating initially very expensive - but enjoyable at the same time!!

That is great, thank you - Malaika is the boat I have just bought - not much information in respect of steel thickness etc but still it is more info than i had previously

I had a 50ft Trad narrowboat built by Les Jones from his yard in Walkden/Worsley back in 1990.
