Shropshire Union

hello as you can tell i am new to the site and i have a question

 

does anyone know who owns the fishing for the stretch of the shropshire union

 

Upper hattons bridge number 5 where their are boat turning circles (at Pendeford Hall lane) and before you get to the M54 over pass

 

i have checked with the Wolverhampton Angling Association and they say they used to own but they dont know who has it now

 

any help would be appreciated

Hi Paul I'm not a fisherman myself but it might be worth while asking CaRT (Canals and Rivers Trust) to see if they know who owns the fishing rights.

Have you walked the section of canal? Most of the time, the fishing rights are signposted with little signs explaining their area.

To be honest Paul c I have litterally seen it from the motorway a couple of times and thought it looks a real nice stretch and I've got a free few days coming up and figured I'd head out firgured it would be either wolvesaa or Birminghamaa given the area but neither and it's strange because either side of this stretch is operated by wolvesaa thanks for the help guys I'll try the river trust see if they know....
