Engineer- Thermostat- Regents Canal- Near to Kensal Green

Hi there,

Des anybody know of a good and reliable engineer who could look at our engine and thermostat?

 

We are currently unable to heat up our water using our Perkins engine, when moored.

 

We are based on The Regents Canal near to Kensal Green on The Paddington Branch.

Could you heat the water before using the engine whilst moored?

Sometimes calorifiers will not heat without a decent load on the engine.

we have hot water after just an hour after cruising nothing when just moored up.

How long have you had the boat?

On the two boats that I had that did this I gave up and fitted a diesel boiler that heated the water and gave us rads for heating.
