anniewhere
Hello everyone, has work started yet on the Hungerford lock? The last update on the CRT website was from 10 Feb, saying work has been further delayed, planned to be finish in the 4 April. Has anything happened yet? And what's the K&A canal like down that end, is it navigable? Thanks

Bunny
Suggest you have a look at waterscape / crt website ( can't remember which one I looked at last week ) Had a look from the train to-day at the water . The canal is over the towpath at Theale and from Monkey marsh lock up to Bulls Swing Bridge / Lock and running quite hard from what I could see. The river section of the canal below Burghfield is either topping the bank or broken through into the fields in two places. Still over the paving in the Oracle and Country Lock is interesting. Has gone down on the lower lock mooring at Newbury by about a foot ( as of today ) . Bunny
