dont know if anyone can help but i am just in the process of purchasuing a boat as a live aboard and was wondering if anyone knows of any services to get internet access on the boat.

We are currently on line from our boat using Vodafone mobile connect and a Dell laptop. Vodofone is not cheap at around £50 a month but it works almost as well as broadband when we can get a 3G signal and is quicker than dial-up when we can't. We have just switched to web-based email which is free. The following website has more info on the vodafone system:

We improved the signal with an antenna extension from 'The Boaters Phone Company'.
