I live in Leeds and had my boat at Woodlesford but would like it on the L&L near me. The only options I have are Rodley which is just down the road from me but you never see any come onto auction. In fact the last one was about 3 years ago. then we have Bank newton, which is about 40 miles from me but its nice up there and that's it. If I lived in Lancashire I would be spoiled for choice.

Craven was £28.50 per foot this year. It's obviously not run for a profit so it's just the costs of the moorings + business rates + maintenance costs split between the number of feet of boat in the club. Craven do require you to attend a meeting but it's mostly a formality.

The moorings are just a section of secure offside bank with no facilities, although C&RT water points are close by, and members are expected to socialise a bit and help with maintenance of the mooring sites.

Haven't Niffany Farm just expanded ? (just outside skipton) - no idea whether they have any spaces nor who 'runs' the moorings but assumed they were private ?

ETA - what about the marina at applerly bridge ? I think the same company also has some offside moorings at shipley (a bit run down if memory serves!)

They expanded a couple of years ago. Last time I enquired they had a waiting list of people waiting for moorings, but that was probably 3-4 years ago. I asked to be put on their waiting list at the time but I've never heard anything and haven't followed up so I don't know what the current situation is.
