not quite true in all cases the get round is to just get a 2nd ticket from the entrance barrier and exit with that!! doesn't always allow you to but many do!!

Oh, very good. Must try that one.

 

I got the succesion of threatening letters for 'overstaying' at a motorway services. Each was diligently filed in the round file. Never heard anymore.
